Chairperson's Address

Dear Delegates,

I would like to welcome you to the Human Rights Council of the Daly-Emerald MUN 2015!

My name is Ankit Attri and I will be the chairperson for your committee. I hope that the 3 days of the conference are filled with healthy debating, comprehensive resolution-making and most of all, fun. The two agendas that have been selected for our committee are

1. Question of the situation of women's rights in the Middle East and North Africa region
2. Question of the safety of journalists

In the light of the recent events on the international arena, the topic of the committee lays the spotlight on various issues that have not been suitably taken care of by the international community. I hope you all find our topic this year as challenging as it was for us to come up with it!

My advice to you would be to participate as much as you can, prepare well, research, try to take innovative stances, put forward your arguments at their very best and make your voice heard; while respecting other delegates.
I wish you all an unforgettable experience and, of course, new friends! I look forward to meeting you all!

Yours Sincerely,
Ankit Attri
Chairperson
