Bi-Lateral peace Summit

  • President: Pravish Agnihotri

  • Vice-President: Jay Sharma

  • Vice-President: Sahil Lalwani

The Bi-Lateral Peace Summit is an initiative to raise global awareness, as well as social and political resolve to secure lasting peace and to demonstrate tolerance, respect and understanding by acknowledging inter-national ‘UNITY’.
The Kashmir conflict is one of the most staggering conflicts in international politics, and its persistence involving two nuclear powers- India and Pakistan is well known.

Chairperson's Address

Dear Delegates,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Bi-Lateral Peace Summit at the inaugural session of the Daly-Emerald Model United Nations. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing an extraordinary Model United Nations experience in Indore.

My name is Pravish Agnihotri and I am a student at the Emerald Heights International School. I have always been passionate about international events and relations. Also, I have a special love for Political Science. I love to travel to new places, learn about new cultures and meet new people.

Although April may seem far, preparations are already underway for what will be an outstanding conference. As the Peace Summit, we will tackle the pressing Kashmir border disputes. During the conference, you will be called upon to demonstrate critical thinking, innovative ideas, rapid flexibility, and collaboration. Before then, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with our topic. The soon to be released study guide will be a great first resource, but I also strongly encourage supplementing it with your own research as the issues are constantly evolving.

I hope that this committee will be challenging, exciting, and above all fun. The most rewarding part of the Model UN experience for me has been the privilege of learning more about interesting topics and discuss them with equally passionate people, and I hope that you duly prepare to maximize your gains from this experience.
I’m here to help each of you have an amazing DEMUN experience.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at peacesummit.demun@gmail.com with any questions, concerns, or comments about the MUN or our committee. Feel free to send an email simply introducing yourself as well; I would love to become familiar with each of you before the conference begins. I welcome you to DEMUN 2015!

Sincerely,
Pravish Agnihotri,
Chairperson
