Set in the epic magical world of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, the Ministry Of Magic is as mystical and Exciting as it sounds. Set in 2016, the committee will focus on resolving issues faced by the Magical and Muggle world during recent times. 

 

Supreme Mugwump's Address

Dear Wizards and Witches, 
 

I welcome you all to the Ministry of Magic committee at DEMUN. I’m Dev Seth, your Chair. Be prepared to have the experience of a lifetime in the only non-Muggle committee at this conference! 
 

Both the challenges which our committee confronts have widespread implications in both the Wizarding and the Muggle world. You, as delegates, will represent an assorted group of powerful individuals from different authorities of the world. I expect you to come up with creative and constructive solutions to the problems at hand. 
 

It is also important for you to understand the nuances and personal motives of your character in order to take the tough decisions and handle the diplomatic negotiations coming your way. But don’t forget to have lots of fun and make new friends during the conference! 
 

Something about me: I’m a voracious reader and a devout Harry Potter fan. Besides this, I’m also an amateur programmer, music lover and serious chess player. I usually like to waste my time watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory, time which could have been better spent doing homework. 
 

I hope you’re as excited to be part of this committee as I am to chair it!
